Free Patch and Updated Plans

Greetings, Cities: Skylines Enthusiasts,

Since launching the Detailers patch, we’ve dedicated the past five months to developing the Bridges & Ports DLC, gearing up for our anticipated release. After thorough internal evaluations and feedback from our early access community, it’s clear: while the bridges are thrilling and the port functions smoothly, some aspects need refinement.

This presented us with a tough decision: postpone once more to enhance its depth or release as-is, knowing it might not fully satisfy. We believe the current content offers enjoyment, but we’re aware of what’s lacking. To reach the standard you deserve, additional time is essential.

The complimentary update slated to accompany Bridges & Ports will go live on June 11th, featuring some teaser content for the upcoming expansion. Meanwhile, we’re incorporating feedback from our early access group and refining what needs improvement for the expansion’s projected Q4 release.

Nonetheless, this expansion is truly impressive, and we’re eager to see what it brings to your cities. We aim to ensure it meets your well-placed expectations.

We’ll publish the complete patch notes for the free update on June 11th, coinciding with the patch release. For now, enjoy a preview of the new assets to enhance your waterfronts.

2 New Bridges

Featuring the Combination bridge:

  • Four-Lane Highway Double Train Track Double-Decked Extradosed Bridge
  • Double Train Track Truss Arch Bridge

3 Leisure Piers

Piers, crafted with net tools, offer shoreline and harbor enhancements, categorized into leisure and industrial types.

3 Quays

Quays beautify city shores, and can be upgraded with trees. Piers can connect to these quays. A Container Crane can be stationed over the wider Cargo Port Quay, designed for use with Reach Stackers. Quays function similarly to roads, allowing buildings to snap to them when the zoning grid is displayed.
